Shoyu

Shoyu is a four-year-old gentle giant, filled with love and purrs. Found severly injured and missing large parts of the skin on his head, Shoyu received intense medical care at City of San Antonio Animal Care Services, where he caught our attention. His permanently cranky expression captivated us, and upon meeting him, his loving personality and constant purrs stole our hearts.

Life hasn't been kind to Shoyu. In addition to his severe head trauma, we found that he had been shot and still has a pellet lodged in the skin around his neck. On top of that, he is positive for FeLV (feline leukemia). Luckily, Shoyu's FeLV is currently regressive, which means his immune system is effectively handling the virus, reducing the risk of secondary illness and creating less of a risk of transmission to other cats. Shoyu will need to be an only kitty, or be in a home with other FeLV+ kitties to make sure the virus does not spread to uninfected cats. Shoyu has shown to be friendly toward other cats, so a FeLV+ home with other kitties would be this sweet boy's dream!

Shoyu can have a long, healthy life as a loving companion kitty, one that is happy to sit next to you on the couch to receive a few pets, then purr himself to sleep by your side. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, negative for FIV, on flea preventative, and up to date on his FVRCP and rabies vaccines. Apply to adopt the world's best roommate that will always be excited to see you!

Hammy

Meet Hammy! The floofy gorgeous gal is part of a dynamic duo with her bonded brother Bob and they are looking for their forever home together! Hammy is a six year old petite long hair tuxedo with a classic Marlyn Monroe beauty mark. She is a girl who knows what she likes and doesn’t stop until gets what she wants. If we rated her sassy personality on a spicy pepper scoville heat scale, her spice levels would land between a Habanero and Ghost Pepper.

Hammy is very sensitive to change and it takes her time to adjust, which also brings out the spiciest side of her personality, but she is also very personable. Once she does make a connection she is loyal, sweet, cuddly, and very loving.

Hammy needs to be in a home with no other cats except her brother Bob. They are very bonded and cannot be separated so they have to be adopted together. They were raised around small dogs so they may adjust in a home with a small dog, but Hammy is not friendly towards other cats except her brother.

The home that would fit her and her brother best would be a quiet one with a patient and understanding family who has had experience with personalities like hers. She does not do well traveling and needs a stable home where she can feel safe and secure. Basically she wants to be treated and worshiped like the princess she knows she is. If interested in learning more about her and adopting her and her brother together, please reach out today!

Hammy is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, on flea preventation, negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on all her shots.

Bob

Meet Bob! This fuzzy boy is part of a dynamic duo with his bonded sister Hammy, and they are looking for their forever home together! If you’ve ever wanted a super sized cat that also looks like a Dr. Seuss character, this majestic six year old boy is for you!

Yes, Bob is a Big Boy! He’s an even bigger love bug and has a gentle and easy going personality. He brings the calmness that balances out his sister’s spicy side so they are the perfect pair together. Bob also loves belly rubs; when he stretches out it is not a trap! He really does want those belly rubs, and he also loves to be brushed and groomed!

Bob and his sister Hammy are very bonded and cannot be separated so they have to be adopted together. They were raised around small dogs so they may adjust in a home with a small dog, but Hammy is not friendly towards other cats except her brother. They were also raised in a home with teenagers, and they both really love getting attention from young adults and teens.

The home that would fit Bob and his sister best would be a quiet home with a patient and understanding family/person. If interested in learning more about him and his sister please send us an email!

Bob is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, on flea preventation, negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on all his shots.

Sweet Purrtato is dewormed, on flea preentative, microchipped, negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on her FVRCP and rabies shots.

Sweet Purrtato is waiting on a neurologist visit to assess her ability to have spay surgery, and possible surgery to enhance mobility of her back legs. Presently, she spends her days sassing her foster humans, mrrp'ing at birds, and stealing the hearts of everyone she meets.
