We are under construction! Our shelter facility is estimated to be completed by the end of 2017!

Wayward Whiskers was selected to participate in the first ever Bexar County High School Film Festival! We partnered with the amazing students and teachers of Central Catholic High School to create a promotional video. We hope you like it!

The enclosure is finally finished! We used the grant that we received from Lil Bub and the ASPCA to build an outdoor enclosure for our FIV+ cats! Boy Scout Troop 888 built the enclosure and the cats absolutely love it!

Come out to our 3 year anniversary party and open house on April 2! Construction for the FIV enclosure begins on that day as well!

We had a blast at the Wayward kissing booth and raised over $200! Thanks to everyone that came out!

Wayward Whiskers was awarded a $1000 grant from the Lil Bub ASPCA fund in December 2015! The grant will go towards the outdoor enclosure for our FIV positive cats! Construction will begin in February 2016. Thank you Lil Bub!

Wayward Whiskers has partnered with the San Antonio Humane Society! We will help them with their special needs cases, and they will take our adoptable cats and find homes for them!

The Big Give was a Big Success! We raised $3860!

Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) rescue in San Antonio, TX founded in January 2013 by Sherry Pfau. We take in special needs cats and kittens that may otherwise be discarded or euthanized.

We accept cats from the public when space is available, as well as pull from local shelters. We provide top-notch veterinary care including any surgeries or treatments the cats may need, and then find forever homes for them. We also are one of the few shelters in San Antonio that accepts FIV positive cats.

Wayward Whiskers operates solely on support from individual and corporate donors. We do not receive any city or government funding.
